Orchard Valley welcomes you to participate in our Community Winter Spiral. The experience of walking the spiral reflects the human experience at this time of the year - a season of less light, shorter days, longer nights and going forward with hope to welcome the light of the sun after the winter solstice.
Come play with wool! We will have samples of wool from raw to knit garment to show the full process. There will be spinning wheels on hand to learn and practice hand spinning and supplies ready to learn the basics of knitting as well. If you are a beginner spinner or knitter or just curious how wool is processed this is the class for you.
Go into the holiday season with a clear vision of what you want this time to be like for your family. Learn tools for experiencing the holidays with less stress, centered and content. We will also cover tips for scheduling, conversations with extended family around gifting and food. Join Marianne Perchlik a Waldorf Morning Garden teacher and Maria Leon, a parenting coach for this interactive Zoom workshop.
Participants will learn about food as medicine, seasonal eating, ancestral foods, and taste nourishing broths and elixirs. Everyone will help make, and go home with, fire cider, and bring home a recipe packet to continue their healing food explorations.

Join Alan LePage and Jung Kim for a workshop that will provide both the practical aspects of making kimchi (tools and ingredients) and the less tangible but invaluable musings of a lifelong farmer from Central Vermont. Come home with jars of kimchi and valuable preservation skills!
This hands-on workshop will incorporate the joys of farming, gardening, animal husbandry and land stewardship with some tools and ideas to assist in connecting with the unseen energetic intelligences, creating an environment for spiritual exploration and co-creation.
Dan Morse from Heartbeet Lifesharing will present a synopsis of Rudolf Steiner's 'Agriculture' lectures given 100 years ago, which gave birth to the Biodynamic movement. Participants will have the opportunity to prepare the Horn Manure prep, and enjoy an artistic experience.
Join us for a beloved fall tradition, our Community Harvest festival, on Saturday October 5th 10am-1pm.
