Biodynamic Farming/Gardening Workshop

Biodynamics is a holistic, ecological, and ethical approach to farming, gardening, food, and nutrition.

Join us for this talk and discussion with Kate Winslow, educator and farmer in Washington, VT, about the basic principles and practices of biodynamic farming and gardening and how these differ from other organic and conventional methods.

Participants will stir a biodynamic preparation and spray it on the Orchard Valley grounds and orchards to help enliven the school’s soil. Bring a yogurt container or glass jar with lid to take some of the preparation home to spray on your own garden, too. If you’d like, bring a small unused paint brush or small pine bough for spraying at the school (optional).

For information about biodynamics, visit www.biodynamics.com.

To register, please email cathie.e@ovws.org or call 802-456-7400. This workshop is free and open to the public.
