prek-kindergarten camps (3-6 Yrs)
Summer On the Land Camp at Orchard Valley will offer a bit of everything wonderful about this season! Children will do activities focusing on the theme of the week, including play in the forest and stream, visiting our farm animals, picnicking and resting outside, enjoying water play, meeting new friends and learning about our natural environment. These camps are for children ages 3-6 years old.

Mother's Earth Garden - session full*

June 20 - June 24
With Lead Teacher Georgina Haase and Assistant Ida Eames
Children will be invited to roll up their sleeves, plunge their hands into the dirt and get dirty as they explore the garden! Using our tools, we will plant vegetables, flowers and herbs from seeds and seedlings.

June 27 - July 1
With Lead Teacher Meg Scherbatskoy and Assistant Ida Eames
Celebrating the height of summer, we will be making red and yellow sun flags, brewing sun tea and watching our shadows. We will also explore the woods and streams, tend the garden and visit the sheep and goats. Remember your cap and sunscreen!
Water, Water Everywhere
July 11 - July 15

Splish! Splash! What a delight to run under a sprinkler on a hot summer day. We will make bubbles, play games and mix water and sand. Remember to pack your bathing suit!

We will be on the lookout in our magical woods as we search for gnomes and create fairy homes using gifts from Mother Nature. We will even sew our own gnomes to tuck into our pockets and take home!
Fun With Paper & String
July 25 - July 29

Snip, Snip, Knot! Have you ever wondered what you can create with simple paper and string? Children will create beautiful things by folding, cutting and coloring paper. Then using thread and colorful yarn, we will learn how to finger knit and do some simple sewing.

August 1 - August 5

We will explore the woods, streams and fields. Find trails to gather natural objects to build shelters, make crowns and create from our imagination. And we will also be visiting the goats and sheep or tending the garden.
Wool & Sheep - one spot available
August 8 - August 12
With Lead Teacher Hannah Kraskow and Assistant Ida Eames
Our days will be spent outside exploring the woods and fields, visiting the animals (including the sheep!), having story and rest time and playing in the sprinkler. We will clean and card wool, and do a wet felting project too!
