Sweet Clover Nursery is full for the 2024-25 school year, and our waitlist is temporarily closed. Please check back in a few months for updates.

Orchard Valley's Sweet Clover Nursery in Montpelier operates year-round, five days a week. Our hours are 8:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday - Wednesday and Friday and 8:00am -2:15pm on Thursdays.

Sweet Clover Nursery provides infants and toddlers with warm, nurturing care from a staff of Waldorf-trained, Early Childhood professionals. The children spend their days in a small, family-like group with children of different ages. Experienced and loving caregivers encourage children to develop their new sense of self in an environment designed to nurture and support their continued unfolding. The daily rhythm provides a balance between active times and rest times, and indoor and outdoor play, nourishing each child's sense of health and well-being.

Enrollment Process

Please note: Sweet Clover Nursery is full for the 2024-25 school year and our waiting pool is temporarily closed. Please check back in a few months for updates.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of our program, we encourage all interested families to apply to join our waiting pool; we fill available openings from our waiting pool.

In order to be considered for enrollment you must submit a complete application with a $50 application fee. If you qualify for CCFAP (child care subsidy) this fee is waived.

We will add you to our waiting pool and reach out if we have available spots to fill and are able to invite you for an interview and tour. Please note that most new enrollment happens in the summer months, for a September start, and that we will first enroll children of faculty and staff and siblings of currently enrolled students.

Questions?

Contact us via the inquiry button. We are accepting applications for the waiting pool for children 3 months to 3 years. Children who will turn 3 by June 1st are encouraged to apply to our Mixed Age Kindergarten program.
