Learn the basics of fruit tree pruning with Joseph Ferris. Whether you're taking care of young seedlings or wrangling in that grandmother apple tree in your backyard, this class will teach and demonstrate tools and techniques to meet the goals of both the trees and the humans in your orchard. There will be an overview of grafting techniques to propagate fruit trees as well. Bring any pruning or grafting tools you have on hand--pruners, saws, loppers, knives, etc.

Joseph Ferris operates a young orchard and fruit tree nursery in St. Johnsbury and provides tree care services around central Vermont. Attendees will be asked for a small donation for our school.
